As our third online Business Surgery approaches, we're taking a moment to reflect on what we've covered so far! Our Business Surgery sessions provide an opportunity for the wider tech community to come together and tap into the knowledge of Nottinghamshire-based business growth expert; Anthony Bryne.
About Anthony
Anthony represents the D2N2 Growth Hub; an organisation which aims to improve the ability of businesses to value and engage appropriately with business service providers. The Growth Hub has provided support to countless tech start-ups; giving them the tools they need to succeed in both the local and wider economy.
Anthony's role within the Growth Hub is to link businesses & individuals into the many areas of support that are available for business growth.
Discussion Topics
We've covered a real variety of topics during our first few sessions, with questions from a wide demographic of freelancers, digital designers, social media enterprises and tech start-ups. Here's a taster of what the community has delved into so far:
- Exploring different funding options for tech startups; including angel/VC investment, grants and loans
- Connecting entrepreneurs with the right people, both at the Growth Hub and beyond
- Providing information on local grant options; including availability, suitability and eligibility
- Detailing the benefits of the D2N2 Digital Growth Programme; which aims to help 850 small & medium-sized enterprises to make better use of digital connectivity to expand their businesses.
- Opening the door to skills funding, where knowledge gaps within growing tech organisations can be identified and addressed via fully funded training programmes.
- Exploring talent management strategies; from graduates & apprenticeships through to internships and mentoring options.
