Attending an Online Tech Nottingham event

Attending Women in Tech and Tech Notts is undoubtedly the highlight of your social calendar and of course we want to keep that going through these difficult times. Meeting friends, making new ones and catching up to learn new things are just a few of the reasons for coming to a Tech Nottingham event and that holds true for our online events too.

COVID-19: How the tech community can help

For those of us in the tech community, largely away from the front line of the fight against COVID-19, staying at home and avoiding spreading the disease is essential but beyond this are there other ways we can help? The answer fortunately is yes!

It's nearly time for the 2017 #NottTechParty where Nottingham's tech community and (many) meetups come together for an evening of fun, pizza, drinks, friends and the frankly marvellous National Videogame Arcade. The evening wouldn't be possible without the incredible generosity of local tech companies that sponsor the event - we are so grateful for their continued enthusiasm and support.

Big Tech Nottingham shoutout to the following companies:

Cordius

A long time supporter of Tech Nottingham and the wider tech community, Cordius is a Derby based, independent recruitment company, which specialises in providing Expert IT, Engineering, and Supply Chain & Distribution recruitment services to businesses throughout the East Midlands.

They were one of the first companies to start sponsoring local meetups, and have been supporting Tech Nottingham, for example, since 2013!

Tech Nottingham was struck by Lightning, and it was awesome

For October's Tech Nottingham we wanted to try something a bit different to our usual format, and floated the idea of hosting Lightning Talks, alongside our excellent speaker for the evening, Hazel Seanor. The community rose to the challenge and the evening was filled with fun, laughter and more information than the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
